I-140 Approved - Next step pls

Hello Friends,

I got my I-140 Approved.

My PD is April 02, 2011.

Whats the next step - My H1B ( 6 yrs ) is expiring in Sep 2012.

If I file my H1B extension - How many yrs I will be getting .

The USCIS will not accept H-1B extensions more than 6 months prior to the expiration of one's current H-1B status. If at least 1 year has passed since the filing of the Labor Certification, then a person can apply for 1-year H-1B extensions beyond the six year limit. In addition, if the I-140 petition has been approved and the person's Priority Date is not current, then a person can apply for 3-year H-1B extensions beyond the six year limit.
