baba_visu
Hi I work for ABC company and I recently started working in USA. I got married, my wife (dependent) and daughter are in India. I recently got my first pay stub through ADP. It shows my taxable Marital status - single. I've have to send my pay stubs to apply for L2 dependent visa. Do I need to ask my company to change the status to MARRIED ? I don't want to have any hassles from the Indian embassy. Please educate me on this issue. Thanks and regards Sekhar Link to comment
Attorney_23
In general, the information regarding marital status on a pay stub refers to the amount of taxes being deducted, not whether the individual is actually married or single. The government will not ordinarily refer to this information when the spouse of an L-1 applies for an L-2 visa. Link to comment
