I work for a Mid-size company for past three years. They filled my GC under EB3 category, here comes confusion. When asked my attorneys they claimed my designation title is Engineer so can't file under EB2.

I have more than 9 years of experience, worked as Subject Matter Expert in India, then after moving to US I got title as Engineer. In my current company, I am only the Infrastructure engineer, i.e. I design, implement, manage production stuff. i.e. there is no Tech lead or Senior engineer. I am the only person with all responsibilities.

I got my I-140 approved last week.

I too got an offer from another company and they agreed to file under EB2. But I like my current working company, here I am happy with technical stuff even though I don't get title. Now I have asked my company to move me to EB2 category, is that possible, if so what needs to be done.

Please looking for your update ASAP. If not possible, I can accept the other offer.
