Deb11
Hi all, Our parent company "XYZ" acquired company "A". Now "A" has merged with our company "B" and with this merger the company's name has been retained as "A" only. My designation was "ABC" and now its "AB" with the same role and responsibility - no change in that whatsoever. ("AB" as per company A's rules) Couple of doubts, as I have to go to India for my H1B extn stamping: 1. Should there be a new LCA and/or petition? (Due to wordings changed in my designation) 2. Shouldn't there be a govt. letter or notification about this merger, the company's name, which I should have with me during my visa interview? Could someone please help me out with my queries... Thank you in advance! Link to comment
Prasad
If you are a full time Employee get a letter from ur HR stating the above facts and that there is no change in your job roles, just the title change due to merger. You might want to frame the documentation with an attorney and hand it over along with LCA, 129 during your interview process. Goodluck. Link to comment
Deb11
Thank you Prasad! Yes, I am a full time employee. So just a letter from the company stating all will suffice? One quick Q tough....( I am still in the same dept) In case the dept is changed, then would I require a new petition? Link to comment
