L1B to H1B,after approval notice period of 1 month.

hi Sir I am presently on l2b visa(EAD) and my spouse(L1 visa) who is with different company has applied for h1b with some new employer. Once his h1b visa approval notice comes then he intends to give a notice of 1 month to present employer(L1B visa employer) and then join h1b employer subsequently. Wha t visa would he possess in his notice period(1 month) with his present employer...?? what visa status would I possess during that one month notice period of my spouse.??

If a petition to change employers/change status from L-1 to H1B is filed on behalf of a foreign national, the foreign national must generally cease working for the L-1 company on the start date indicated on the approval notice.
