Do I need new H1B stamp if I'm changing from H1 academic employer to an industrial employer?

Hi

I currently have H1B stamp on my passport from an academic employer valid until 2013.

But I have gotten an offer from an industrial firm two months ago and they have applied again for my H1 industrial visa for me to and switch start working with for them.

I will have my approval documents from new industrial employer by first week of December.

I will be going out of country (to home country-India) on 9th December. DO I NEED A NEW VISA STAMP while I'm at home or can I show my approval letter of new Industrial employer and old H1B stamp on time of my entry back into US.

I really appreciate your support. Please do help me get an answer. Thanks a lot again.
