What is the MAX time required for VISA Stamping

Dear All,

I am working in Kuwait and i am an Indian citizen

I got my H1B approved and i want to go for stamping to India with in few weeks

I am taking one week leave and going for stamping , is there any chance that my passport may be stuck with the consulate more than a week, if that is the case then it will be a big problem for me, as i should go back to Kuwait with in a week.

Please suggest what to do

It can be done in a few minutes to several months.
