Stamping at Mumbai and got 221(g)

Few questions on Employee, client and previous project. Got 221(g)- Blue slip

I went to drop employee, client documents on 09Nov and unfortunately as Mumbai consulate is closed and they asked me to drop documents on 21Nov2011.

If you know anybody had similar experience, can you please let me know do we drop passport with documents or just documents and wait for their call/email to drop passport.

Any experience, please share here. I have return on 27Nov and hope they replay before that.
