H4 Change of Status

Hi,

Does anybody has an idea that how much time is taken by the USCIS to actually approve/ give decision on the H1B to H4 Change of status. My application is under Initial Review at the Vermont Service Center from the last 4.5 months. However, the average time to get decision at the Vermont Center for I-539 is much less than 4.5 months (I think its 3.4 months). Anybody has an idea about this. Please help

Hi,

I am facing a similar problem.I just spoke to the customer care at the USCIS

and they tell me that they are only processing the I 539 that were filed in May

at the moment.

I am not sure when you have filed yours, but if you filed before May or in May

your applicatio must be in review now.
