L1 withdrawl

Hi,

My friend (the employee) went for an L1 interview and was given a 221g, with no request for more information. When they contact the embassy, they are being told that it is being reviewed and there is no time frame for the review. This has been going on for months.

Is it possible for the employer to withdraw the application?

If it is withdrawn would that prejudice the employee for any further visa applications that they might make?
