greencard fever
Dear Members, The Petitioner name and petition number on my H1B stamp was incorrect. So I reported this issue and resubmitted for correction. However this error was repeated again. Now I have emailed the US embassy New Delhi to find out about the issue. So far no reply and my return date is approaching. So my question is, can I return to USA with the current visa and inform the admitting officer at port of entry about the error and show them the I797A. Please advise. Thanks Link to comment
greencard fever
Followup to my above post: upon submitting my passport for visa correction 3rd time, it was corrected. I had to postpone my return trip by a week. Such a pain, no fault of my own, mistake on their part. I wonder if they even go through all the forms we will.... Link to comment
JoeF
I think there is a way to file a complaint about unprofessional behavior. I'd consider this repeated lack of attention to details as unprofessional behavior. Not sure if it would change anything, though... Link to comment
tupallisujay
I have the same issue with my employer name being incorrect on the visa stamp page in my pAssport. How did you get it corrected? What is the process? I797 is correct but the visa stamp is not. Please let me know. I am on H1B visa and had my stamping done in Ottawa. Link to comment
