SantaBanta
Which Medical school in USA gives admission while 485 Pending? Thanks in Advance. Link to comment
JoeF
You are legal with a pending I-485, so pretty much every school should give you admission if you fulfill the admission requirements. Link to comment
SantaBanta
JoeF, Thanks for the reply. What you say is true for regular college but I called several medical colleges and they only accept student with Citizenship or Green Card only. Is there anyone gone through Medical School admission process with 485 pending. Link to comment
JoeF
I suggest you talk with the registrar in person. They can not discriminate against people legally in the US. Link to comment
abnew
SANTABANTA, Did you fine anything new on this? I have also checked med school does not give admission unless one has GC or citizenship. Wht option you are thinking ? I am also in same situtation like you. Thanks in Advance. Link to comment
JoeF
I've looked at the websites of several medical schools in the University of California system, including UC San Francisco. I have not seen anything mentioned that would indicate that only US citizens or LPRs could apply. Link to comment
abnew
HI JOe, I have also checked Websites as you mentioned they don't say anything regarding permanent resident Visa requirement. How ever if you visit website of IL, IN OH med schools they clearly says candidate must be US citizens or LPRs. I dont know wht to do now. Link to comment
JoeF
Well, if the schools are private schools, they can set their requirements the way they want. UC is a public university, and therefore, state law rules for them. That should be the same for every other public university. Anyway, there are medical schools in the US that seem to give admission to non-PRs. Link to comment
