PERM filed and company acquired

Hi,

I am currently on H1B status valid until 30th June 2012 (total 6 yrs including the time spent outside of the US)

My PERM was filed under EB2 on 3rd June 2011 by Company ABC (my employer till August 2011)

As of September 2011 my employer ABC was acquired by employer XYZ. The old attorney's are right now in the process of transferring my case papers to the new attorneys.

As part of the acquisition the new company XYZ is going to take over all immigration process from the old company ABC under the "successor in interest" clause.

There is no update on my PERM yet.

Any idea, if this acquisition will impact my PERM process at all or any of the future steps in GC process?
