RGV
Hi, I dont have I-94 on my H-1b document which I have realised last week.only.Actually i have completed masters in 2008.I have applied for H1 in April 2009.Due to some personal reasons I went to India and came back to USA on August 2009 on my Student Visa(as my OPT was valid until Jan 2010). Recebtly I went to change my Drivers License and was surprised when the officer let me know that my H1 doesn't have I-94 number. My driving license is valid until 2014,but as I have moved to new state ,I wanted to change the license . My H1 is valid until September 2012. I dont know what to do now.So Please give me the suggestions for my next step.Is it ok if I stay in US without a valid I-94?. Link to comment
youklis
Please check the I-94 which was given to you at the time of entry(Aug 2009). If that is expired and not having I-94 on your H-1b, Mostly you are out of status. please contact your company attorney. Link to comment

In my I-94 its mentioned as D/S.I think it should be valid until my OPT expiry date right? Link to comment
JoeF
Hmm, this looks as if you could be in lots of problems. You may not have been eligible to enter with the F1. I suggest you talke to a good immigration lawyer ASAP. Link to comment
