Applied for I-140 in oct 2010 at Texas service center. Initial Review state

I applied for my I 140 at Texas service center in oct 2010. My priority date is dec 2009. My status online shows "initial review". Its more than an year now. Are there people like me waiting this long?.

My dad's case is in similar state as well. His employer applied for I-140 and the receipt date is Oct 2010. It has been 13 months now and we have not heard anything from USCIS. Online it is still reflecting "Initial Review". Can anyone please let us know what can be done?

try upgrading it to premium process, it might help.

Its 2012 now. I am entering 16th month. It is still in "Initial Review" state. My date is current. My employer Is applying for 485 next month. He requested for a service request yesterday. I heard it is not advisable to make the case premium if one's priority date is current. Even my employer was saying that. It is risky to make it premium now. Then how long should I wait. Can any one let me know is it advisable to upgrade it to premium at this stage. Please share your experiences. I would really appreciate!!!
