gagarli Posted October 18, 2011 Report Share Posted October 18, 2011 I have I-94 card when i reentered on Student visa.Now i received I-797A (H1B) approval which also has I-94 but both has same number.My question is: which I-94 i need to surrender before leaving US for my interview in Canada? gagarli Posted October 19, 2011 Author Report Share Posted October 19, 2011 US embassy sent me an email stating that I-797 and I-94 should be together with passport during interview and need not to surrender I-94 before leaving US.what should i do now? should i just surrender white I-94 card at airport and keep the one with I-797A. JoeF Posted October 19, 2011 Report Share Posted October 19, 2011 There is an exception for travel to Canada and Mexico that lasts less than 30 days. In these cases, you keep the I-94. Link to comment
