Hi Guyz,

If PIMS verification is already done and Visa interview goes fine then you will receive email on next day of interview i. e after 6 PM either by email or phone call or update on

https://usvisa-info.com/ or http://nvars.com to collect passports at the DHL office.so on 3rd day u can receive your passport.

If PIMS verification issue then the passports delivery getting delays from days to weeks and sometimes taking upto 1 month.

So please check if your company already submitted docs to PIMS Prior to visa appointment so that there will not be any delays.

Regards,

Srikanth

@pranavi2008:

PIMS verification is Petition Information Management Service (PIMS). When you apply for fresh H1b or H1b extension, once it is approved, your petition information is updated in PIMS database. this can sometimes take time after approval. So, if anyone is planning to go for visa stamping immediately after their approval, they will need to send an email to PIMS with their petition details atleast 3-5 days ahead of their visa stamping date. I believe, PIMS database is shared among all consulates and it is the first thing a VO will check by default.

This is information I am aware of. Also Google is your best friend. Trust it than me.

Any corrections are welcome if I am wrong anywhere.

Thanks !!!

@Sil you are right but make sure to send 2 to 3 weeks instead of 2 to 3 days before so that there will not be an further delays when u receive the passport.

@ vicky copy of approved H1b documents usually submitted by attorney of your company .If not u need to send to visa consulate an email where u are attending visa by sending the scanned copies through email.
