If he will switch the job and his Visa will change from L1A to H1B then can I work on L2 EAD? Attorney_23 Posted October 17, 2011 Report Share Posted October 17, 2011 A foreign national may not remain in L-2 status if her spouse changes status to H1B. The person may change to H-4 status, which does not generally allow for work authorization. Or, if the foreign national wishes to work, she would need to find another means of remaining in valid status (e.g. finding an employer to sponsor her for her own H1B.) Link to comment
