Travel during L1 Extension in progess

My L1B visa was expired in July. My company has filed the L1 extension before it expires. I have got the RFE in September and I need to submit the documentation by 15th November.

I need to travel to India in November 1st week. I am planning to return back to USA with a stamped visa once the petition is approved.

Please let me know whether I can travel to India in November 1st week?

Ordinarily, if a petitioner timely files a petition to extend the status of a foreign national in L-1B status, the foreign national may remain in the U.S. after his/her I-94 expires in a period of authorized stay for a period of up to 240 days.

If the foreign national leaves the U.S. during this period, this generally will not impact the pending petition. Rather, if the petition is approved, the foreign national may then apply for a new visa to re-enter the U.S. in L-1 status.
