H1b stamping successfully done in Tijuana. on Oct 4th.

we stayed in RealdelReo hotel,

Day1.ASC appointment @3.45pm -done in five mints.

Day2.Consulate appointment @ 10am.-went to consulate with family have a kid 3yrs old(US citizen) around 9-30am.waited in the queue 1hr.

Counter1 verfied appointment letter and H1b,PP. and gave the token no.went inside consulate after passing security check.

waited 30mints and called our token no.-this guy verified H1b ,PP took 20 mints to verify .

Finger frinting done at another counter in 5mints.

Total 7h1b candidates attended on that day.6 people got visa and 1 person got admin processing(he got visa on firday he emailed me)

our token called for interview. He did not ask any thing, just took H1b and PP for both of us.

he asked only job description and what your company does and Education details.(me and my wife both are FT employees working for same company since last 5yrs).

He approved our visa and collected next day @ 2.30pm.

I noticed for EVC or EC model they are asking more questions paystubs,LCA and bankstatements, client letter etc..

Good luck..

Thanks for your post... could you please answer few of the question as bellow...

I am in USA and planning to go Tijuana, Mexico for my H1B visa stamping.

At this moment I am not sure about the visa appointment date, where I will be staying in Mexico etc.

But while filling DS-160 it asks all these info.

1) What "Mailing Address" should I mention in my DS-160? Should I mention my US address?

2) What should we give National ID number and US Tax Payers number?

what is US tax payer ID number?(I thought this is for those who dont have SSN) can I use the "do not apply option" here and provide my SSN as it asks for SSN also?

what is the national identification number?I dont have my ID so it necessary or can i use the option of "do not apply"?

3) What should I answer for the question "Am I ten printed"?

4) I can only schedule visa appointment once I fill the DS-160. What if I dont get appointment in Tijuana, Mexico?

Should I fill different DS-160 or shall i update the existing DS-160? what about the $150 MRV fees that I have paid?

Is it resuable for new location?

-You can book appointment over the phone.they have US no.

For accomdation I would suggest Marriot or Realdelrio.(real del ria is cheaper $58 if you show your appointment.)

But while filling DS-160 it asks all these info.

1) What "Mailing Address" should I mention in my DS-160? Should I mention my US address?

- You can mention your current US address.

-- put NA for all except SSN

3) What should I answer for the question "Am I ten printed"?

-this is really doesn't matter but you can say "Yes"

4) I can only schedule visa appointment once I fill the DS-160. What if I dont get appointment in Tijuana, Mexico?

Should I fill different DS-160 or shall i update the existing DS-160? what about the $150 MRV fees that I have paid?

--You will get appointment in Tijuna. just call ASC people they will book appointment.

Good luck.

Hi Gurus,

Below are my details:

-> April 2011 - Entered in US on H1B Visa

-> June 2011 - started working for Client (EV Model)

-> Sept 2011 - Filed for H1B extension and Got extension for next 3 years

I'm planning to go for VISA stamping in December to Tijuana,Mexico as it is driving distance from my home (30 miles approx).

I do not have initial 2 months pay stub ( April and May 2011), after that it is available.....

Can any one help whether it is fine to go for stamping or not ?

Any response would be appreciated.

-do not take any chance as they are asking all documents and you dont have 2 months pay stubs.

wait another 6 months so that you will have all paystubs and w2.

PS:i just suggested because they are drilling every one.

On DS-160 confirmation address is given:

TJT

U.S.Consulate General Tijuana

Avenida Tapachula #96

Colonia Hipodromo

Tijuana, B.C. 22420

While website says:

Paseo de Las Culturas s/n, Mesa de Otay, Delegación Centenario, Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico C.P. 22425

When i put this address on Google maps it shows two different location which around 10KM apart.

#1 Diego Rivera 2, Centro, 22000 Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico (Consulado Americano) [Near to ASC and RealdelReo hotel]

#2 Paseo De Las Culturas s/n, Mesa de Otay , Centenario , 22425 Tijuana, Baja California, México (Consulado General De Los Estados Unidos- Tijuana)

[it's around 10KM from ASC]

Which one is correct?

Thanks,

Max
