pd_nj
My old employer had got my labor and I-140 approved, but gave just the receipt #, no copies. My new employer is starting my GC, but says that they cannot port the old Priority date as I don't have I-140 approval copy, and the USCIS site is showing blank status (using receipt #) with the message that -- "On May 17, 2011 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days." That's it, -- doesn't say "approved" anywhere. I am sure the I-140 is approved, but I dont have a copy and my old employer wont give one! please help me with the next steps I should try! Many thanks in advance!! Link to comment
nipukumar
You can file FOIA to USCIS to get the I140 approval copy. Please follow the link given below. It has detailed info. You can ask Alien no from the old employer which comes wit I140 approval. I guess that can at least share that info. Many companies dont share I140 approval notice. Link to comment
