jeetpharm Posted October 5, 2011 Report Share Posted October 5, 2011 Hi Friends, My h1b was approved on May 23 and because of that I got my OPT Cap gap I20, which is expired on sep 30 as my h1b satrts from Oct 1st 2011. after that on may 28 I got NOIR notice from USCIS and I did submit all documents and they received on June 23. Since that day I am waiting for reply from USCIS. So, My question is that am I legal to work after OPT expiration date which is sep 30 2011. When should I expect decision back from USCIS. What is the my current situation now? Am I on H1b status or what? Please reply me ASAPand suggestion please. Thank you Jeet Link to comment

I am really worried about it as I am planning to go India in this January and till January if USCIS will not reply me back will it be fine to travel to India? What is current status for me?
