reckyin@gmail.com
I was working in Company A and transfered my H1B to Company B(Full time in a good organization). I have all paystubs and other needed documents form company A for 2010 and 2011.But my W2 for 2009 is $2,500 less than the amount specified LCA.Will that be a problem? Since i am going for stamping for my new company (have all docs and w2 set for 2010 and 2011), will i be asked for 2009 w2 from my previous employer? or will they focus on the current employer? Kindly advise! Link to comment
ajexpert
Technically it should not be, since your new employer has filed a new LCA and your 2010 W2 should be matched with new LCA. Although, I too seek answer if VO compares old LCA with previous W2's Please post your experiences Link to comment
BigJoe5
Is the lower amount merely representing less than a FULL year? Or is it a matter of the employer recouping some fees from you? Link to comment
reckyin@gmail.com
@BigJoe5 : It is not any recouping fee they deducted, it is just less than full year. @ajexprt: I will have W2's from my previous employer and only 2 pay stubs from my current/new employer. But if they ask for 2010 W2, i will be fine, cos it is more than what it is specified in LCA taken by my old employer). But i did not get the part, as to why 2010 W2 should match my current LCA (taken by my new employer) or did i get it wrong? Also, will i be held responsible if any question arises? Link to comment
