Going to Malaysia with OPT but H1-B approved, need a stamp?

Hello,

I am supposed to leave next week to Malaysia to give a conference, but I currently only have a F1-OPT visa, my H1-b has been approved (I-797A form) and starts today but I don't have a stamp. Will I need to get a stamp to come back to the US or could I use the OPT without losing the H1-B?

What is the best solution for me knowing I am leaving next week and I am supposed to stay there for 1 week?

Will I really need to get a stamp in Malaysia, and will it be possible in such short notice?

Thanks!
