phdnoh1b
I'm having some trouble with the Skill level selected for my PERM. My specific question is: Who selects the Skill Level for the position? Is it the attorney? My job title is Materials Scientist with a minimum education requirement as Ph.D. Job description involves being a Technical Lead and Project Manager on extremely complex problems. However, I see that a Skill Level 1 has been selected. I want to know if the Skill Level is something that the immigration attorney determines or is this determined by DOL. thanks, Dr. M Link to comment
Attorney_9
The wage level is selected by the Department of Labor at the time of Prevailing wage determination based on a comparison of the job duties and requirements with what is normal for the occupational classification. anothersoul
Attorney_9, would wage level be used as a base in classifying of EB category? If so, within levels 1, 2, 3 & 4 which ones would classify for EB2 and EB3? If I am completely off the base, please help me understand what would determine a position to be classified under which EB category? Thanks a lot in advance. Link to comment
