chaitanya_visa Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Hi, I am planning to do a H1B transfer to a company which is currently running recruitment advertisements for position i will be joining. They are saying that my GC- PERM can be filed on the basis of recruitment efforts which are already in progress. And they have received Prevailing Wage Determination for this position before their recruitment efforts began. My question is Is prevailing wage determination for an Individual or for a job position ? When they apply for PWD is it generic for job position ? In that case in current PWD crisis situation, Will it be a right move to join this firm and get my PERM filed asap on the basis of advertising which is currently in progress. Please Help. Thanks, Jalagam
Attorney_9 Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 The Prevailing Wage determination is tied to a specific job position rather than an individual. Therefore an employer can potentially use the same prevailing wage determination and recruitment for multiple people filing for the same position.
