EAD/AP renewal while out of USA

Hello All,

I am aware that I need to apply for renewal only 120 days before EAD/AP card expiry.

But can I apply for renewal through a lawer while I am physically out of United States (travelling to India) or do I need to be physically present in US while applying for the renewal of the EAD/AP.

Please let me know.
