jaisankar
Dear friends, My H1B is expiring on 11/22/2011. I like to apply for regular processing and I have got a client letter which says that my contract is ending on 9/30/2011 with possible extension. If my project gets extended, I was told that I will get another letter with 12/31/2011 with possible extension. I have got my LCA approved already and I am ready to file by 15th Aug. At this point my questions are, 1) Is it Ok to send the application with Sep'11 client letter now itself? 2) Or If I wait for some more time like couple of more weeks to get another letter(which will have dec'2011) to send the application. 3) Suppose if we have client letter with contract end date (sep or Dec) and "with possible extension", Has any one got 3 years extension? Please share your thoughts on this. Thanks Jai Link to comment
rashiars
normally, when you have a date mentioned then they give a year's visa. Possible extensions is not very helpful. If I were you I would apply with the next extension and asap. May be premium but that also doesn't guarantee a 3 year. It's the mention of a hard date that creates an issue. What I did was, I applied with next length in PP and got a year's :( sorry not much of help! Link to comment
