asmadik Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 I have been approved for O1A (Alien with Extraordinary Ability) couple of weeks ago. I am working with by company's immigration attorney to now file for Green Card (EB1). My attorney has presented me with two options - 1. Regular I-140, after its approved, I-485 He is a little conservative and "likes" for us to go this route. The estimated wait is anywhere from 10 months to 2 years 2. Concurrent processing of I-140 and I-485 The attorney thinks this is a riskier option (for non-justified reasons) and would not recommend. He thinks we can still go ahead with this with some risk involved. i.e. in case the I-140 rejected, then my international travel is at risk until a new application is approved etc.. I see a lot of people concurrently filing on this forum and I just wanted to get some opinion on the two options. Any advise is appreciated. I apologize if a similar question has already been answered. Thanks! P.S. Per the attorney, the Premium Processing of I-140 is off the table due to higher chances of RFE etc.
