glock17 Posted September 6, 2011 Report Posted September 6, 2011 Hi hope your ok. I got my eb3 immigrant visa stamp already after years of waiting, unfortunately after 2 weeks the embassy hold my passport back and told me my petitioner wrote a letter that it is not existing anymore. I just found out they sold their company few months ago. The one who issued me a job offer that I present to the embassy interview was from the new owner that carries the same name of the company. The new owner took over the management of the company and continue on with the business. I called the embassy and they told me they will verify it first. How long will it take? Is it possible for the new owner to continue my petition and give me a job offer? Is there any papers needed by the new owner to submit to embassy as proof that it is the same company and that it has the ability to pay me? ? Please advise. Thanks.
Belle Posted September 7, 2011 Report Posted September 7, 2011 Call a good immigration attorney. It is possible the new owner will need to file an I-140 ammendment.
