harihere
My passport is expiring in Aug'12 and I think it takes about 4-6 weeks to get passport renewed. And could me more for whatever unknown caused because it is Indian Gov. My priority date is Sept'07. There is a really really small chance of me getting current in next month or two. I want to know: Do I need to have original passport in hand when my date becomes current? or just having photocopy is fine? And the communication address in India has changed from what it is in my passport. Can that delay my renewal process? Thank you for your time. Link to comment
Belle
One has nothing to do with another. You don't need a valid passport to apply for AOS or get approved. Link to comment

My only concern: do they ask for original passport in any case? e.g. Finger printing, medicals, or even an interview? Link to comment
Belle
They ask for ID, but it does not have to be a passport. Passport is for international travel. Link to comment
