H4 Visa Stamping

Hi,

My wife has H4 approval in June'2008 and got H1B approval also in Aug'2008. She tried for job for some time, But didn't work out. Even she didn't apply for SSN also and filed taxes also with TIN. Then we asked her employer to cancel H1B, But I think he didn't do. We were planning to apply for H4 in 2009 and contacted some attronies, But they suggested to go for H4 visa stamping in India. Recently she went to India and is planning to go for H4 Visa stamping now.

What are the chances that she can get H4 visa stamping? Does the visa officer ask for her H1B status documents?

I work for full time and have valid visa stamping with my current H1B. I can get whatever the documents required from my employer.

Please let me know, If any body has gone through similar experience.
