PWD affecting PERM filing

My 6 yrs of H1B expires in Sept 2012.

Due to delay in PWD, my PERM is still not filed.

I have spent about 10 weeks outside of US on vacation and business. I will need to recapture this time:

1. Can all stays outside of US be recaptured, vacation and business?

2. If my I-140 is approved, say by March 2012, do I still need to recapture the time spent outside US for H1B renewal?

- Once you get approved I-140, you should get 3 years of H1B extension easily. No need to think about recapturing the time spent out of US.
