Finally Green

We received our Green Cards today.Want to share my story for the benefit of others in the forum

1) Firm filed EB3 Labour, I 140 in July 2006.

2) Filed I 485 in Aug 2007, received EAD & AP

3) Filed new EB2 Labour & I 140 in Jan 2011, received approvals for both in a week each

4) Ported priority date on I 140 .New I 140 had July 2006 priority date

5) When priority date became current, did not send any interfile request

6) Received RFE on I 485 from USCIS that a interfile request has to be made in writing for adjudicating the I 485's. Attorney responded to RFE in 1 week

7) Received CPO and approval emails within 2 weeks of filing response.

8) Cards received in mail today

A few lessons learned from my case

- Try upgrading to EB2 if you have a chance -Having the best attorneys helps, in my case they did a spectacular job responding to RFE's and being on top of everything and communicating what was going on to me.
