A friend of mine has a PD of Dec 2007 (EB3) and wants to port his dates to the EB2 category. He contacted his lawyer and he said that there is a criteria of minimum salry of $120K for doing so. Wanna know, if thats TRUE?

My 2 cents, there's no such rule, however wanna confirm things on this forum.

Thanks and good luck to all the GC queue holders.

You have not provided enough information, to be specific what field he is working in, his filing position, which metropolitan area is he empolyed at etc.

Anyways for engineers 120K as minimum for EB2 sounds bit too much, my assumption he is an engineer. He can check bls.gov for salary averages and non reliable data points from places like payscale and glassdoor.
