kj256
Hi All, I have a specifice question around L1 validity as per my situation. I have worked onsite in US on L1B visa with company A for about 11 months. Thereafter, I changed my job and returned to US after a gap of 1.7yrs with Company B on L1B visa again. I know that L1B visas are valid for 5years. Therefore, I want to know whether I can stay in US for 5years on my second L1B alone (since there was more than 1yr gap between two L1) or the initial period with company A will be counted and I will be allowed only 4yrs on my second L1? That being said, I know that one is allowed six years on the work permits (L1A being exception and provide an extra year). So, would I be allowed six continuous years after I started working onsite with Company B or would that be only 5years (as I already worked onsite for 11 months with Company A). Thanks!
