way2k
I am currently on H1B status. I am planning to get added to my wife's Green card application when the priority date gets current. If I get the Advanced Parole and EAD from this process, will I be able to continue to work for my current company who has sponsored my H1B? Link to comment
dirtyfellaw
Yes, many have done the same. Stay on H1b until you feel the rush to switch to EAD (485 status) Link to comment
yourstruly
Absolutely. Your GC process in no way affects your H1B status. They can just go parallely. But if you receive the Advance Parole and go outside USA, and reenter using the AP, then you should start working using the EAD, not the H1B. You can work on the H1B if you enter after showing the H1B VISA. Its always good to have H1B status actually, since if the 485 application is denied, then you have the H1B to fall back on. Of course, that is according to Sheela Murthy, but Ron ******* thinks that is not a good idea. Link to comment
