pragyAshish
My husband has a doctorate degree and he has been working as a post doc for past one year with good academic credentials. He is going to join a start up company this year. What process to follow to get a green card at the earliest ? Eb1, EB2 or National Interest Waiver ? Link to comment
Attorney_15
It can be "fast", so to speak, to get a Green Card through the EB1 category. More information about this category is available at http://www.murthy.com/eb1ea.html and the NIW category is discussed at http://www.murthy.com/niw.html. It is advisable to consult with an attorney who can evaluate one's credentials. Unfortunately, having a PhD itself is often not enough to qualify for these categories and especially in light of the Kazarian decision (http://www.murthy.com/news/n_eb1kaz.html). And sometimes a person has just what is needed, so it is always a good idea to talk to a lawyer experienced in these kinds of cases for specific legal advice. Link to comment
