I have a currently renewed 797 for my previously stamped (but expired) H4. Does the stamped H1B on the passport need to be current for my H4 stamping or an expired stamping but current visa status with current pay stubs and W2s and employer letter enough? Link to comment

NO,currently stamped h1 visa is not need,if you have valid 797 and i-94 and all other documents. Link to comment
