Applied 485/AP/EAD - Finger Printing Timeline

My priority is date is current, hence applied for 485/AP/EAD on July 14, 2011 under EB2 Category.

Fees - 1070$ was debited from my account on July 20, 2011.

Questions-

1. When(Average time) can i expect to receive the receipt number so that i can track the status online ?

2. I think - The next step is that i will receive a letter for finger printing. When (average time) can i expect to receive the letter for finger printing ?

3. if i loose my job now, what is the impact on my immigration status ?

3. Immgration status at this point is unrelated to your greencard application. Whatever status you have (H, L, F) you may lose when the job ends. The pending green card application, however, is for a future job and is generally not impacted directly by your job loss. However, if this happens, you should DEFINITELY schedule a consultation with a really good immigration lawyer, especially, if it happens within 180 days from your I-485 filing date.

I just received appoinmnet notice for finger printing.

When can i expect EAD ? is WAD dependent on finger printing being done ? I know, one should receive EAD within 90 of filing.

Congrats, I applied it as well on July 2011 as well and USCIS received my application on July 25th 2011. I have not received the finger printing notice yet. can you tell me when did you receive the finger print notice from the receipt date?

I am also in the same boat. I applied my I-485 on Aug 1st. I got receipt numbers. I am waiting for FP notice. Could you please share when you have applied, when you got receipt numbers and when you got FP notice.

USCIS received my application packet on July 15. I received the receipt number in @1 week from July 15.

My finger printing is due on Aug 25. I received the finger printing notice on @30 July.

you should receive the receipt number 2/3 days after the money has been debited from your account.

Any ideas whether EAD is dependent on Finger Printing ? How long does it take to get EAD ? Any ideas ?

I received my FP notice as well, appointment date is on Aug 26th.

Hey guys - i am filing for an adjustment of status. I was going to file-forms 485 and i.130 do i HAVE TO file i.131(Travel docs) as well. I am planning to travel at the end of the year. I am trying to take the economical route but i do not want my application to be denied because i did not file the travel doc....Help. Planning to send docs in 2 weeks time!

Yoy no need to pay anything for I-131 (A.P)

You dont need to pay separately for I-131(AP) & EAD as everything added up into one 485 fee. Since you are planning for a trip at the end of this year, imo, it would be better to file all of them together. it wud be helpful by the time it comes.

i just had my finger printing done last week. I applied for 485, EAD & AP on July 15.

@trymyluck, I had done my FP last Friday, the person who took my FP mentioned that I should receive the EAD & AP before the green card. she also said, EAD & AP cud roughly take 2-3 months time.

hi trymyluck and others: i filed same date as you did...had my finger printing done on Aug. 10th. now waiting for EAD as well.

I am also in the same boat. Applied AOS on Aug 1st. My PD is March 13th 2007. FP done on Sep 1st. Can we see any LUD in our status after FP? What would be the next step? Thanks for your response.

Yesterday i got an email saying that my wife's EAD and AP has been approved. However i(primary applicant) did not receive any such email.

Does that mean, my EAD and AP have not yet been approved ? Any ideas when will i receive ?

We applied for EAD/AP/485 on July 15.

congrats on your wife's approval. I think yours will come anytime...Its very common that her application gets processed earlier than yours.

I'm waiting my H1 extension approval as well along with my 485 approval. Since my dates are current, I should still get my H1 extension irrespective of my 485 application, Correct? Can someone share your thoughts?

I received an email saying my I-131 is approved. yet to receive any email notification for EAD. I thought both of them come together, isnt it the case? any thoughts from the experts out here?
