alpen123 Posted April 12, 2011 Report Share Posted April 12, 2011 I WENT TO DMV today, they didn't issue renewal please help. I have D/L WILL expire on 5/26/11 I have new I-797 A form 5/27/11 to 5/26/2014 person at DMV /long bech says he can not see their computer system updated with new approval so can not issue renewal . he ask me to go to USCIS offcie in person and ask to update their system with new dates. any one have done in past like this ??any help. i called USCIS they said have to make appoinment first ..DMV CALI is HELL.. I spoke to DMV HQ @949-657-7445 they said USCIS has nothing to update all i need to submit is new I-797 A copy to DMV which I did month ago @ long beach office.. now i received new D/L with same expiey in next month (5/26/11)..please help if any one have idea what to do. Joe.F Posted April 12, 2011 Report Share Posted April 12, 2011 Some DMV offices in CA are rather clueless. That drove me mad way back in the 90ies. I see it hasn't changed. Try a different DMV office. Link to comment

I am planning to go to Santa Ana,CA uscis tomorrow to find out about this. My license expires by may 14th 2011, same as I-94, DMV told me that INS dont have my latest I-94 information updated. alpen123 Posted April 25, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 25, 2011 Hi, call 916-***-****, I spoke to Steve, explanied him situation ( I told him I WENT TO three different DMV all have diffent answers, USCIS santa ana very rude no answer) ,then he set me up Santa Ana DMV, Windo 38 manager Sandy. I went their gave all papper work and refrence Steve from Head quater, Got 90 days right away. Hope this will help you. el camino Posted May 19, 2011 Report Share Posted May 19, 2011 I had similar issues. Like JOE mentioned, some DMV's don't have a clue. I might have tried atleast three different DMVs. I feel, the Los Angeles, one at Hope street is pretty good. At least they gave me temperory D/L s on two occasions. Link to comment
