tadisk
Hi, I'm from India and applied under EB2 category during July 2007. I-485 Receipt Date is August 2007. Priority date is Dec 14th 2006 and current since July 1st. Only 7/22 I spoke with second level IO and got a letter today explaining "Based on the request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not....." and goes on - standard wording. This application was transferred last year from TSC to NSC. What can I do to get this case approved?? USCIS has been approving Jan/Feb 2007 priority cases, but mine has been not approved yet. Any suggestions?? Link to comment

tadisk
I've contacted USCIS Custome Service, Ombudsman office but no status updates yet? Received standard letter stating to give USCIS 60 - 90 days of time to respond. Link to comment
tadisk
Today I received the following from USCIS/NSC via email: USCIS records indicate that both I-485 applications are currently pending internal extended security review. We have no estimated time frame as to how much longer it will take before these applications will be sent for further review by an officer. There is nothing that can be done to speed up this process. Once they are released from this area, they should be sent to an officer for further review. Belle/JoeF - please help!!! Link to comment

tadisk
In December 2011 I've contacted the USCIS Ombudsman's office and they helped in getting GC approvals for me and my wife. Received GCs and approvals in the same day, after 9 months of dates being current. Link to comment
