Vermont Service Center - Irene Impact

Vermont has huge flooding. So will this mean closure of VSC for some time? No doubt the already heavily backlogged service center will become even more backlogged.

Should we expect significant delays now in processing times at VSC? It is probably the busiest center since all big population states like NY and other northeast states where there is heavy immigrants and companies have to apply at VSC

It seems VSC is taking between 3-4 months to process I129 extensions these days but some lucky people are getting in 2 months if you look at posts in this forum. Irene might have made things worse.

Does anyone know if they can transfer some of the cases to other service centers if they feel that they are overwhelmed and can't handle all the pending cases?

In general, there seems to be a huge delay at VSC so nothing we can do about it.
