Job transition on H1B- Transition time

Hi,

I am currently with employer A and I will be joining employer B pretty soon after visa is approved with employer B. Since the new job is in a different state and relocation and all that with family takes sometime and I want to take a week off in between the job changes. Example, if my last day with current employer is Sept 15th, I want to join employer B on Sept 24th. Is this possible for a person on H1B visa and if so, is there any specific procedures to be followed to do that. Your response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

I believe you can take time off work on H1, but only if the decision comes from you. You can't be on the bench at employer's discression.

What does it have to do with AOS or CP?
