Got 221 Yellow slip with 10 Days to expire H1B Visa

Hi,

I have visa interview date on 31 May-2011 and received a 221G blue slip with no Document asked.My H1 B Visa expires on 20-Sep-2011.I have applied H1-B Extension.But on 12-Sep-2011,i have received a 221G-yellow slip with petioner docs asked.

Eventhough if i submit the docs,The query will not be cleared by 20-Sep-2011 and my H1-Extension is in process.

My plan is to attend a visa interview with my H1-Extension.Is it possible to attend eventhough i have a 221G-Yellow slip on my old petiotion.
