H1 under extension and License expired

My H1 got expired on June 18th and I was given License till 2016 but the license has a statement saying " Temporary Visitor expires on June 18 2011".

Now i filed my H1 extension and is under review. Now is there any way i can get my license renewed before i get my new I94 or is there a way i can drive??

Please help
