RANGER_2011
Hello, I am currently on H1B visa that is valid until May 31, 2011. My fiancee, who is a US citizen, and I have decided to get married in a short and sweet civil ceremony at a courthouse on March 10th. We plan on filing Green Card for myself after this event (through an attorney). However, I have a few questions that would help me very much in preparing the supporting documents and also with timeline management. a) How long does it typically take to get EAD and Green Card after such an application? b) I have misplaced my experience certificate from my ex-employer in India. Do I have to get a new one from them or can I request a former colleague of mine to provide me with a Notarized affidavit? Does it hurt to not have an experience certificate? c) Do I need any other certificate besides birth certificate and educational certificates from India? I would really appreciate a response to my querry. Thank you very much in advance. Best Regards, Link to comment
santykumar
can you please give update on your case? if you have filed your I-130 and your h1b extension is not approved, can you still stay in USA as you have filed marriage based I-130? Link to comment
