L1 TO H1 Conversion under same employer

Hi,

I am currently in L1 and applied for L1 to H1 conversion under the same employer which got approved. So, the question is - Will the H1 will be automatically start from Oct 1st as both are having same I-94 number or is there any separate proces to move from L1 to H1? Can someone please help?

Generally, as long as an individual in the U.S., a change of status will commence on the date stated on the I-797 Change of Status Approval Notice, in this case the H1B starting validity date.
