Traveling on H4 with H1-B stamp

My wife was on H1-B. But she quit her job and got on H4. We got the H4 approved. But now for an international trip, can she use her H1-B stamp to get back into US or she has to go for stamping for H4 before entering back to US.

Please offer some advice.

If the intention is to work after coming back from the trip then she can enter with her previous H1 stamp. If not, then she need to obtain new H4 VISA stamp and enter with H4 only.
