Attorney_22 Posted July 19, 2011 Report Share Posted July 19, 2011 Generally, when a spouse applies for his/her H4 visa at a U.S. consulate, the consulate will require evidence of the principal spouse’s status in the U.S. This evidence includes a copy of the I-797 H1B Approval Notice, and evidence of the spouse’s continuing H1B employment such as an employment verification letter and copies of recent pay statements. The H4 visa should be issued pursuant to the validity of the H1B Approval Notice. For additional questions please contact a qualified U.S. immigration attorney. Link to comment
